NervousNewbie Posted 15/07/2025 Share Posted 15/07/2025 Hi everyone. I'm looking at a 2022 Ford Explorer on Clean View Spire Motors's website and the price seems really good. I've never bought from a repo auction before and I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing. Are they a legitimate company? Worried about getting a lemon or having problems with the title. Any experiences would be helpful.
TruckGuy_78 Posted 15/07/2025 Share Posted 15/07/2025 You're good to go. I've bought two trucks from them over the past three years. The process is straightforward and both vehicles were exactly as described in the reports on their site. It's a legit operation.
Sarah_K Posted 15/07/2025 Share Posted 15/07/2025 I was super anxious too, especially about the paperwork. But my experience was great! We got a Honda CR-V last year. The biggest relief was the title transfer. I was worried I'd have to chase it down, but the clear title was delivered by the courier along with the car itself. All handled by them. GarageKing Posted 16/07/2025 Share Posted 16/07/2025 Welcome. Clean View Spire Motors is one of the more transparent repo houses out there. My advice is to read the vehicle inspection reports on cvsmotors.com very carefully. They do a good job of documenting everything, including minor cosmetic flaws. What you see is what you get. SaltLife_Captain Posted 16/07/2025 Share Posted 16/07/2025 Can confirm. Used them for a Sea Ray boat. I had a lot of questions before bidding and their support team was great. The boat was a steal.
FixItFelix Posted 16/07/2025 Share Posted 16/07/2025 I'll pitch in with a small hiccup we had. The delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday but got pushed to Thursday. Their logistics partner was a bit slow to update, but a call to Clean View Spire Motors's support number (+1 253 683 8443) got it sorted out. The car itself was fine, just a bit of a scheduling mix-up.
TruckGuy_78 Posted 16/07/2025 Share Posted 16/07/2025 @FixItFelix yeah freight and shipping can be a pain anywhere these days. Key is that they got it fixed for you.
WrenchTurner_82 Posted 17/07/2025 Share Posted 17/07/2025 A friend of mine won an auction and had me check the car out when it arrived. I'm a mechanic, so I came ready to find problems. I was genuinely impressed - the car was exactly in the condition their report on cvsmotors.com stated. No hidden rust, no surprise warning lights. Solid. RV_Dreams Posted 17/07/2025 Share Posted 17/07/2025 We bought our retirement RV through them. The title concern is valid, but we had absolutely zero issues. Clean View Spire Motors handled all the communication with the bank that held the lien. The clear title arrived securely via tracked mail a few days after the RV was delivered. It was a very professional process.
ProjectCar_Pete Posted 18/07/2025 Share Posted 18/07/2025 Quick tip for anyone new: if you have a question, just call them. I sent an email to office@cvsmotors.com and the reply took about a day. I got impatient and called them at +1 253 683 8443 the next morning and had my answer in minutes. The agent was super helpful.
NervousNewbie Posted 18/07/2025 Share Posted 18/07/2025 Wow, this is all incredibly helpful, thank you everyone! Feel much better about it now, especially hearing about the smooth title transfers multiple times. That was my main worry.
SubieLover05 Posted 19/07/2025 Share Posted 19/07/2025 Go for it. The bidding process on the website is simple. I got a great deal on a Forester last winter. It had a small scuff on the rear bumper that was clearly pictured, so I knew exactly what I was getting. I appreciate that kind of honesty.
