My Experience with Clean View Spire Motors Auctions

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I'm looking at a 2021 Tundra on Clean View Spire Motors's website. The price seems really good, maybe too good. I've never bought from a repo auction before and I'm pretty nervous about getting scammed or having issues with the title. Has anyone here actually bought a car from them? Are they legit? Looking for some real feedback.

You're in the right place. I've bought two vehicles from them over the last three years. My F-150 and my wife's Explorer. Both times the process was straightforward. They're a legitimate business for sure.

Seconding what FordMan said. I didn't buy a car, but I won a Sea Ray boat auction last summer on cvsmotors.com. I was most worried about the title transfer from the bank, but it was surprisingly smooth. The clear title was delivered along with the boat. No headaches.

My experience was overwhelmingly positive. I got a 2020 Subaru Forester for my kid's first car. The condition report on the website was very accurate. A few minor scratches that were clearly photographed, so I knew exactly what I was getting.

I'll be honest, my experience wasn't 100% perfect, but they made it right. My delivery was delayed by two days from the original estimate. I sent an email to office@cvsmotors.com and didn't hear back for about a day, which made me nervous. So I called their support line at +1 253 683 8443 and the woman on the phone was super helpful. She tracked down the delivery driver and gave me a new ETA right away. The car arrived in the condition promised, so all's well that ends well.

@CautiousCarl That's pretty common with freight shipping tbh, not always the auction house's fault. Glad they sorted it for you. My Ram 3500 arrived on schedule. Thing is a beast.

A friend of mine bought a CR-V from them and had me inspect it when it arrived. I went over it with a fine-tooth comb. It matched the pre-auction inspection report on their site perfectly. Mechanically sound. For a repo vehicle, it was in fantastic shape. I was impressed.

@FirstTimeBidder_88 Don't sweat the title part. That is the key service Clean View Spire Motors provides. They handle getting the lien released from the bank after your payment clears. I've bought three cars and a small RV from them, and every single time the clean title paperwork arrived with the vehicle upon delivery. It's a very secure process.

Just adding my two cents. Got my 2019 Tacoma TRD Off-Road from them. The bidding process on cvsmotors.com was easy to figure out. The truck has been flawless. Will definitely use them again when I'm in the market for another vehicle.

The key is to do your homework just like with any used car purchase. Read the reports, look at all the pics. I got a 4Runner and it was exactly what I expected. The price was way better than any local dealer.

I was confused about the payment process and had to call them at +1 253 683 8443. The person who answered was really patient and walked me through the wire transfer steps. Our Camry arrived last week and we love it!
